The end of handshaking as we know it.

With all the news about the corona-virus it only seems obvious that our traditional greeting of shaking hands is all but over. Even the fist bump will be extinct. One of my associates told me that the tradition of hand shaking was originally adopted to show another person your hands were free and you held no weapon, so you pose no immediate threat. I thought that was pretty cool. I am unarmed, look at my hand and shake it. I have no idea the origin of the middle finger being extended and don't really care. Anyways, please wash your hands and maybe we can come up with a new way of greeting that won't offend anyone.
