Other than the fiscal season coming to a close, the beginning of a new year is truly important. If your anything like me, you measure everything. This is an opportunity to take stock on what happened the last 12 months in a effort to celebrate what went right and what we can do to improve next year. I think most importantly it is an opportunity to reflect and hope for a better future. Remember, hope alone will not make a better future. Proven strategies are the path to a brighter future. My advice is to start with just 1 adjustment or change. The key is don't quit early, as discussed at length in my book "Embracing Failure". You cant' measure success or failure in a small time frame or sample size. So press on and let's reflect again in 12 months how we did. If that doesn't help, how about a hug.
